First anniversary of the Shoreham air crash
Commenting on the first anniversary of the Shoreham air crash, Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner, Katy Bourne said:
The first anniversary of the Shoreham air crash will be particularly hard for the families of those killed and injured and also for those affected. It will be made harder because of the detailed and protracted processes involved in air accident investigations.
I understand that the families want answers and action and I know that Sussex Police are making every effort to secure the information and evidence required. I am also very aware that police officers who dealt with the incident have been deeply affected and I would like to pay tribute and recognise their steadfast professionalism.
I will be joining hundreds of people on the Shoreham Toll Bridge for the minute’s silence today (22 August) and to lay flowers as a mark of respect for those who have lost their lives. They will continue to remain in all our thoughts.
