The Police & Crime Commissioner (PCC) approved the procurement of a Correspondence System  - Caseworker.gov, to enable a more accurate and rigorous handling of all correspondence into the Office of Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner.

The Police & Crime Commissioner has approved the recommendation to:

  • Note the revenue and capital outturn for 2018/19;
  • Approve the capital financing;
  • Approve the budget virements;
  • Approve the carry forward requests;
  • Approve the transfers to/from reserves.

The Police & Crime Commissioner has approved £15,000 match funding from the POCA fund to Reformed East Sussex (RES).

RES have a dedicated team of support workers who have all lived experience of the criminal justice system and addiction; they support rehabilitation in the community through education, training and employment.

The PCC has agreed a recommendation to provide £79,220.00 to fund 50% of the costs for the Sussex Police preferred multi-agency case management system for the next two years from April 2019 to March 2021.

The PCC has formally agreed to the joint purchase of the 'Western Hub' for the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU). This includes the fit out of building 'C' together with the progression of a further business case on 12-18 months time to consider buildings 'A' and 'B' for continued development in line with the operational environment.

The Police & Crime Commissioner has agreed the recommendation to provide some additional case supervision, specialist case management and partnership training to the core Sussex Restorative Justice Partnership membership, for up to 16 members.

The PCC has approved the recommendation to allocate funds to each Community Safety Partnership based on the new formula of 60% crime and 40% population and to maintain the level of financial support for the Youth Offending Service and the Drug Intervention Programme at the same level as 2018/2019.
