The PCC has approved the recommendation to allocate funds to each Community Safety Partnership based on the new formula of 60% crime and 40% population and to maintain the level of financial support for the Youth Offending Service and the Drug Intervention Programme at the same level as 2018/2019.

The Police & Crime Commissioner (PCC) approved the 2019/20 Treasury Management Strategy Statement. The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) has produced the Code of Practice on Treasury Management (the Code) which represents best practice in Treasury Management. 

The proposed Strategy was reviewed by the Joint Independent Audit Committee on 21 March 2019. Their comments have been noted and incorporated where appropriate.

The Police & Crime Commissioner has approved the 2019/23 Capital Strategy.

The Police & Crime Commissioner (PCC) has approved:

(a) the net revenue budget forecast as at 31 January 2019;

(b) the budget transfers (virements); and

(c) the capital budget forecast as at 31 January 2019. 

Financial Regulations require that the Chief Finance Officer and Executive Director for Commercial & Financial Services provide regular reports of financial performance during the financial year and to seek approval for the transfer of resources between budget headings (virements) when they exceed the limits set out within Financial Regulations.
